The Mignon Libra Brew takes the grind-by-weight idea that made the Mignon Libra a favourite and points it at filter coffee. Instead of weighing a portafilter, it weighs the 150 g hand brew cup, dosing in real time until it reaches the grams you set. Dose consistency is 0.1–0.15 g, so the recipe you dialled in yesterday is the recipe you get today.
The difference is in the burrs. These are 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs designed specifically for filter, and the easy setting system covers every filter grind size in a single rotation of the dial — no hunting through half a dozen turns to get from V60 to French press. The stepless micrometric regulation system is patented, with a larger dial and a vertical scale that makes small changes easy to read and easy to repeat.
The touch display sets the dose, switches between single and double mid-grind without wasting coffee, and runs a continuous mode when you are grinding for a batch. An anti-chaff dosing funnel sits on top of the brew cup, and the grinder arrives precalibrated from the factory. Underneath, it is still a Mignon: 1350 rpm, 310 W, a 300 g hopper and the quiet, low-retention build the range is known for.
Suggested use: drip and French press. Since 1920, Eureka has been a reference point for Italian coffee grinders — still made in Sesto Fiorentino, Florence.
