1. Acceptance and Identity of the Seller
+
espressocoffeeshop.co.uk (the "Site") is operated by Espresso Coffee Shop Retail UK LTD ("ECS UK", "we", "us", "our") — Company No. 16605623 — Registered office: 5th Floor, North Side, 7–10 Chandos Street, London W1G 9DQ — VAT GB500125267 — email info@espressocoffeeshop.co.uk. By placing an order or ticking the acceptance box, you agree to these Terms and the policies referred to in Section 3.
2. Who these Terms apply to (Consumers and Business customers)
+
If you buy as a consumer (outside your trade or profession), you have the statutory protections described below (right to cancel, Consumer Rights Act). If you buy as a business (in the course of a trade, business or profession), the consumer cancellation right does not apply and the business terms in Section 9 apply instead.
3. Related policies (part of these Terms)
+
The Shipping, Returns and Refunds, Warranty, Payments and Privacy & Cookie policies form part of these Terms. If a specific policy conflicts with these Terms on a given matter, that policy prevails for that matter.
4. Products, Prices and VAT
+
Orders are charged in Pounds Sterling (GBP); prices are shown inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. ECS UK sells and delivers exclusively within the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland); orders for delivery outside the UK are not processed. Prices and availability may change without notice; ECS UK may correct manifest errors before or after an order and cancel an affected order with a full refund.
5. Conclusion of the contract and order fulfilment
+
Your order is an offer to buy; the contract is formed when we confirm dispatch. We may refuse or cancel an order if payment authorisation cannot be obtained. Orders cannot be modified after placement for available items; separate orders may ship separately. Dispatch may be delayed by causes beyond our control (courier delays, strikes, weather, stock discrepancies) or during promotions and sales.
6. Shipping
+
We ship within the United Kingdom only (including Northern Ireland); times, costs and tracking are set out in the Shipping policy and at checkout.
7. Right to cancel — Consumers (14 days)
+
If you bought as a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Notify us within the 14 days at support@espressocoffeeshop.co.uk. You then have 14 days to return the goods. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods — see the Returns policy for the standard return charge by product type. We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods (or proof of return), including the standard outbound delivery cost (enhanced/express delivery surcharges are not refunded). We may reduce the refund to reflect any diminished value of the goods from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Statutory exceptions apply (e.g. sealed goods opened for hygiene reasons, personalised items).
8. Your statutory rights — Consumer Rights Act 2015
+
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are faulty you have the short-term right to reject within 30 days for a full refund, and thereafter the right to repair or replacement, and where applicable a price reduction or final right to reject. These statutory rights are not affected by any commercial guarantee (see Warranty policy).
9. Business customers (B2B)
+
For business purchases the consumer right to cancel and the consumer statutory remedies do not apply. Goods are covered by the agreed commercial guarantee (see Warranty); our liability is limited, so far as permitted by law, to repair or replacement of defective goods, excluding indirect or consequential loss and loss of profit. Discretionary returns may be accepted with prior authorisation (RMA) and may carry a restocking fee of up to 15%.
10. Liability, force majeure and use of the Site
+
Nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law (including consumers' statutory rights). Otherwise our liability is limited so far as permitted by law. We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control. We may suspend accounts used for unlawful activity or abnormal use (bots/scrapers).
11. Intellectual property and trademarks
+
Site content belongs to ECS UK or its licensors. Third-party trademarks (Mahlkönig, Eureka, La Marzocco, Rocket, Rancilio, Weber Workshops, PUQ Press) belong to their owners; ECS UK is an authorised reseller.
12. Privacy, Governing law · Changes · Contact
+
Data is processed under our Privacy & Cookie Policy (UK GDPR). These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (this does not deprive consumers of the mandatory protections of their place of residence). We may update these Terms, with a new "Last updated" date. Contact: ECS UK — info@espressocoffeeshop.co.uk.
