The Xenia Brew-by-Sync is the first espresso machine from Mahlkönig, which has been building grinders in Hamburg since 1924. It launches with a claim, More in Every Shot, and a double promise: made for mastery, and confidence to begin.
The fully integrated scale measures the espresso directly in the cup and automatically stops the extraction at your defined target weight. No additional scale on the counter, no manual stopping, repeatable results. While you brew, the machine shows extraction time, beverage weight and flow rate in real time: the information you need to understand a recipe and refine it, right there on the machine rather than on your phone.
Underneath sits a stainless steel dual boiler with Triple PID: an independent 0.3L brew boiler and 1.2L steam boiler, with dedicated temperature control that includes the brew group itself. That is where the thermal stability comes from, and it is why you can pull espresso and steam milk at the same time.
Steam power is adjusted through pressure rather than by changing the boiler temperature, which keeps performance stable and reheating fast for the next milk drink. The cold-touch steam wand has a four-hole tip for controlled milk texturing and leaves less residue.
Brew-by-Sync is the heart of the project. Connected to a Mahlkönig Home Grind-by-Sync grinder, the Xenia brings grinding and brewing around the same recipe: you define the target, the connected system supports you in reaching it and repeating it. The Sync App and web interface let you build recipes, from the grinder input dose to the output weight, target extraction time and disc distance, and fine-tune temperatures, machine functions, timers and energy settings.
It is a machine made for every skill level: intelligent support simplifies the key steps when you are getting started, while advanced controls give experienced home baristas the freedom to explore and refine. There are individual on and off times, independent steam-boiler control, EcoMode and Auto-Off. Compact format, flexible water-tank access and elevated feet for easier cleaning. Developed and manufactured in Germany: matte black, 58mm group, 2L internal tank, CE certified.
