The Mignon Specialità has been one of the home barista's favourite grinders for years. With the Mignon Specialità UP, Eureka started from that base and renewed exactly the parts you touch every morning: the screen, the grind dial, the fork, the hopper and the chute the coffee falls from.
At its heart are 55mm flat burrs in hardened steel, with an Espresso & Brew design developed for excellent espresso and good results in filter coffee too. For espresso the Mignon Specialità UP grinds 1.8 to 2.5 g per second. The 310W direct drive motor runs at 1350 rpm and is covered by a 10 year warranty.
The new 2.8" multi colour, high resolution touch display puts everything at your fingertips: single dose, double dose, extra shot and manual mode, with each dose time adjustable in tenths of a second. From the menu you manage partial and total counters, a password to lock the settings, brightness, stand by and a burr maintenance alert. Grinding starts from the display or by pressing the portafilter against the microswitch, whichever you prefer.
Grind adjustment goes through the new King Size Grind Dial, an oversized dial Eureka designed for comfort and for moving easily from espresso to moka, drip or French press. Underneath works Eureka's patented stepless micrometric adjustment, so you can find the right point for every coffee.
Ground coffee leaves through a metal outlet chute for a smooth, controlled flow, while the ACE System (Anti-Clumps & Electrostaticity) works against clumps and static. The new heavy duty metal fork holds the portafilter steady and keeps your hands free: it adjusts in height without tools and fits any portafilter.
In the box you also find the new Mignon Specialità Dosing Funnel, recommended for single doses above 8 g, doubles above 15 g and triples of 20 to 22 g. The 300 g hopper is new too, with a metal tab and refined finishes, and the Silent Technology of the Mignon Silent Range keeps the grinder discreet even in a small kitchen.
The footprint stays as compact as ever: 348mm high, 120mm wide and 191mm deep, for 6.5 kg. The Mignon Specialità UP comes in matt black and white, and in a chrome version.
Eureka has been making coffee grinders since 1920, today in Sesto Fiorentino near Florence, and the Mignon line is the reason its name became a reference for grinding coffee at home. The Mignon Specialità UP brings that experience to a grinder you will enjoy using every day.
